5-Day Marrakech Couple Itinerary (Mid-Range) | Complete Plan
A practical five-day plan for a couple on a mid-range budget. Frankly, it balances sightseeing, indoor comfort and evening romance. In my view, it’s flexible so you can dial the pace up or down depending on heat and crowds.
💡 Local currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD). Honestly, exchange rates vary; convert some cash in advance and have a card with no heavy foreign fees.

Personally, I recommend early arrival to avoid midday heat. • Walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa, explore stalls, herbalists and street performers. Enjoy Moroccan dishes with sunset views.
Day 2: Palaces, History and a Hammam
Like palaces? Morning visit to Bahia Palace. Bring your camera. Expect 1–2 hours among rooms and gardens. Best to arrive at opening for a quieter visit. • See the Saadian Tombs and El Badi Palace—great for photos and local history. Then lunch at a medina eatery. It’s hot; choose a light, refreshing meal. • Late afternoon: hammam and spa session for relaxation (couples option). In my view, a joint hammam is perfect. Suggest Les Bains de Marrakech.
Day 3: Majorelle Garden & YSL Museum
Start early at the famous Majorelle Garden to beat heat and crowds. The garden is peaceful and photogenic. Tip: hydrate well before heading out. • Lunch in the modern Gueliz district. Then stroll Menara Gardens or shop at a local mall to see contemporary Marrakech. It’s sunny; seek shade now and then. • Quiet dinner in a trendy Gueliz restaurant. Suggest La Table du Palais or Le Jardin. A calmer alternative away from square noise.
Day 4: Full-Day Atlas Mountains Excursion
Want cooler air? Depart early for Imlil or Ourika Valley. Tours often start around 7 AM. Scenery is wonderful and offers an escape from city heat. • Light mountain walks, meet locals, enjoy a mountain lunch. Book with a reputable guide. Note: some routes can be busy with day-tour groups in summer. • Return to Marrakech in the evening. Light dinner in the riad and Moroccan mint tea on the terrace. A cozy, romantic end to an active day.
Day 5: Souks, Cooking Class & Farewell
Final morning in the souks to pick gifts: small rugs, spices, or local jewelry. Bargain politely. A short but colorful and fragrant tour. • A couples cooking class (2–3 hours). Learn to make tagine and couscous, then eat what you cooked together. Interactive, fun and honestly quite romantic. • Special farewell dinner on a rooftop with views. Suggest Le Foundouk or Nomad. Note: bookings are important during summer nights.
